I’m embarking on this blog to chronicle my journey toward financial freedom, leveraging my nurse practitioner license—a substantial investment of both time and money. Amidst the burnout of bedside nursing exacerbated by the COVID pandemic, I opted to pursue further education as an NP, aiming to increase my income while reducing the physical strain of my work.
Over the past few years, I’ve had some pretty big life events: balancing part-time nursing with NP studies, getting married, and transitioning into a new professional role. Unfortunately, this period coincided with soaring inflation, leading, like many others, to an accumulation of debt due to living beyond my means.
Debt is suffocating—a relentless weight, impeding daily life. Whether grappling with student loans, credit card debt, or personal loans, the cycle can feel inescapable, with balances barely budging despite monthly payments.
Join me on my quest to achieve financial freedom, leveraging the skills I’ve diligently honed. Contrary to online promises, there are no shortcuts out of debt; most “get-rich-quick” schemes are simply modern-day scams. Debt consolidation and forgiveness often come at the cost of credit integrity.
My goal? Clearing my debt within 1.5 years through disciplined budgeting and seeking additional income streams. Amidst the plethora of online “side hustles” touted as solutions, I’ll share my firsthand experiences to determine which are truly worthwhile. Follow along as I navigate these options and reveal real-time outcomes
